Nakano Kunizakari Sakagura Nigori Umeshu - 300 ml
Introduction
Japan, Aichi Prefecture, Handa City. Founded in 1844, Nakano Sake Brewery Co., Ltd. is a historic producer located on the Chita Peninsula that combines traditional Edo period techniques with modern equipment. The brewery operates its own farm, the Kuni Zakari Farm, where they meticulously cultivate thousands of plum trees to ensure the highest quality ingredients for their liqueurs.
Description
This nigori umeshu features a cloudy, unfiltered appearance due to the inclusion of roughly pressed plum pulp. The aromatic profile is intense and fruity, offering waves of juicy plum flesh, ripe peach, and persimmon. On the palate, it provides a rich, viscous texture with layers of apricot, honey, and sweet tea. The experience is perfectly balanced by a natural tartness and a surprising lightness that leads to a clean, fresh finish. ABV 8%.
Food Pairing
The creamy texture and sweet-tart balance of this umeshu make it an excellent partner for desserts such as vanilla ice cream, fruit sorbet, or apple tarts. It also pairs well with crisp garden salads and light appetizers. For a more traditional experience, it can be enjoyed on the rocks or mixed with soda water to complement spicy Asian cuisine and savory snacks like nuts and cheese.
