Zuccardi Q Cabernet Sauvignon 2023
Hailing from Argentina, Zuccardi Q Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from select high-altitude vineyard lots in the Gualtallary and La Consulta subregions of the Uco Valley. The Zuccardi family, now led by third-generation winemaker Sebastián Zuccardi, is renowned for a contemplative winemaking philosophy that prioritizes the expression of unique mountain terroirs. Their commitment to innovation and understanding the local soil has established the winery as a global benchmark for Argentine excellence.
Wine Description
This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon displays an intense purple colour with deep red hues. On the nose, it offers a complex aromatic profile featuring ripe red and black fruits, specifically blueberries and cassis, layered with freshly chopped herbs, violets, and subtle spicy notes. The palate is medium to full bodied, characterised by firm, fine-grained tannins and excellent balance. Its structure is defined by a refreshing acidity and a long, velvety finish that reveals hints of iodine and dark fruit.
Food Pairing
The wine’s bold tannins and rich fruit profile make it an ideal partner for grilled steak seasoned with sea salt or roasted lamb with aromatic herbs. It also pairs exceptionally well with hearty pasta dishes, such as rigatoni with black truffles, where the wine's acidity cuts through the richness of the sauce.
