Tignanello 2020 (by Tenuta Tignanello) - 1.5 Litre Bottle

Tignanello 2020 (by Tenuta Tignanello) - 1.5 Litre Bottle

Tignanello originates from the heart of the Chianti Classico region in Tuscany, Italy, produced exclusively from its namesake vineyard at the Tenuta Tignanello estate. The Antinori family has been involved in winemaking since 1385, and for 26 generations, they have balanced a deep respect for tradition with a pioneering spirit of innovation. This philosophy led to Tignanello becoming a milestone in Italian viticulture as the first Sangiovese-based wine to be aged in barriques and one of the first red wines in the region to exclude white grapes entirely.

Wine Description

This vintage presents an intense ruby red colour and offers an exceptionally complex aromatic profile. The nose is characterized by ripe red fruits such as cherries, strawberries, and blackberries, layered with delicate floral notes of violets, mallow blossoms, and roses, alongside sophisticated hints of roasted coffee, cocoa powder, and spice. On the palate, the wine is vibrant and medium to full bodied, delivering a caressing, layered mouthfeel with supple, silky tannins and a core of sculpted fruit. The finish is remarkably long and fresh, closing with notes of pepper, liquorice, and aromatic herbs.
