Tenuta Di Biserno 'Biserno' 2021

Tenuta Di Biserno 'Biserno' 2021

Tenuta Di Biserno is situated in the municipality of Bibbona within the Upper Maremma region of Tuscany, Italy. Founded in 2001, the estate is a prestigious collaboration between brothers Marchese Lodovico and Piero Antinori, alongside their nephew Niccolò Marzichi Lenzi. The winery’s philosophy focuses on a parcel-by-parcel study of their diverse terroir—rich in alluvial sands and volcanic soils—to craft world-class wines with a distinct coastal identity.

Wine Description

The Biserno presents an intense, deep, and lively ruby red colour in the glass. The nose offers a complex aromatic harmony, opening with balsamic and Mediterranean scents interwoven with sweet toasted notes and a fruity bouquet of strawberry and black fruit. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and enveloping, characterized by an intriguing savouriness and well-integrated tannins.

Accolades

  • Wine Spectator - 90 points

  • James Suckling - 94 points

  • Robert Parker - 92 points

Food Pairing

This powerful red is an ideal companion for rich, savoury dishes such as a grilled rack of lamb with rosemary and garlic or a beef stew with red wine sauce. It also pairs beautifully with earthy flavours like wild mushroom risotto drizzled with truffle oil.
