Carlo Lotti Noelia Ricci Bro Bianco 2024
Noelia Ricci Bro Bianco is an organic white wine from the Emilia Romagna region of Italy, specifically from the hills of Predappio within the province of Forlì. The Noelia Ricci project was launched in 2013 as a dedicated 'winery-within-a-winery' on the historic Pandolfa estate, which has family roots dating back to 1941. The project is a tribute to Noelia Ricci, who first recognized the potential of these slopes in the 1970s; today, her grandson Marco Cirese leads the estate with a philosophy focused on drinkability, fine structure, and a contemporary approach to native local varieties.
Wine Description
This wine is a straw yellow colour with golden reflections. The sensory profile features a delicate bouquet of white fruit, lemon zest, and floral notes combined with citrus. On the palate, it is fresh and well-balanced, offering flavours of pear and lemon citrus supported by a mineral backbone and slight herbal notes. It is characterized by a crisp acidity and a harmonious finish that often displays light notes of bitter fruit. The varietal composition is 100% Trebbiano, specifically a blend of the Trebbiano Romagnolo and Trebbiano di Spagna biotypes. The wine has an ABV of approximately 12.5% to 13% and is produced using spontaneous fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks with partial skin contact. It is aged for six months on the lees in stainless steel and is certified organic.
Food Pairing
The bright structure and mineral character of this Trebbiano make it highly versatile for food. It is suggested for pairing with white meats, particularly those that are fatty and tasty, as well as lean fish and seafood. Its acidity and roundness also complement risotto dishes with savoury sauces and soft, ripe cheeses like Brie or Camembert.
