Joseph Drouhin Meursault 2023

Joseph Drouhin Meursault 2023

For the last 140 years, Maison Joseph Drouhin has been managed by the Drouhin family, with the fourth generation currently at the helm, driven by the same foundational passion. The winery has embraced a biological and biodynamic approach, utilizing only natural products in the vineyards and demonstrating the utmost respect for the soil, the vine, and the environment.

Wine Description

This Meursault is made entirely from 100% Chardonnay, the varietal best suited to balance creamy notes with fresh white fruit flavours. It presents a beautiful golden colour and a great aromatic palette. On the palate, the wine has a silky roundness or creamy texture, with flavours of yellow plum and gingerbread. Stylistic notes include a magical balance between smoothness and freshness, with a good cut and a saline finish.

Food Pairing

Suggested pairings for this oaky white wine include delicate fish dishes, lobster, foie gras, and poultry such as chicken and turkey. It also pairs well with creamy pasta dishes or fresh goat cheese. A classic match is boiled and buttered lobster, where the wine's creaminess echoes the butter, and its acidity cleanses the palate.
