Domaine Rolet Cremant du Jura Rose

Domaine Rolet Cremant du Jura Rose

Domaine Rolet Crémant du Jura Rosé is a sparkling wine from France, specifically from the Jura region. Founded in 1942 by Désiré Rolet, the estate rose to prominence under the leadership of his four children before being acquired in 2018 by the Devillard, Flambert, and Dupuis families. As one of the largest independent producers in the Jura, the domaine manages 65 hectares of vineyards across all four local appellations, emphasizing a winemaking philosophy that maintains a traditional Jurassian style through meticulous vineyard work and minimal intervention. Comprised of 60% Poulsard, 20% Trousseau. 10% PInot Noir and 10% Chardonnay.

Wine Description

This rosé displays a beautiful creamy pink or orange hue with brilliant copper reflections. The sensory profile features a delicate floral nose with notes of honeysuckle, morello cherry, strawberry, and raspberry, accented by toast and vanilla. On the palate, the wine offers a creamy effervescence and lively acidity, delivering flavours of red currant, apple, and pomegranate that mirror the aromatic profile. The body is harmonious and fresh, leading to a long, snappy, and slightly salty finish. Typically a blend of Pinot Noir, Poulsard, and Trousseau, the wine is produced using the traditional method with at least 24 months of ageing on the lees and has an alcohol content of 12% ABV. The estate is currently in transition to full organic certification, with current practices described as sustainable and avoiding the use of herbicides or pesticides.
