Founded in 1831, Bodega Colomé is the oldest continuously operating winery in Argentina and is recognized as a pioneer in extreme-altitude viticulture. The 'Auténtico' label serves as a tribute to the winery’s pioneers and its original 19th-century winemaking style, sourced from a 90-year-old estate vineyard planted at 2,300 metres above sea level. The estate’s philosophy focuses on sustainable and biodynamic farming to achieve a pure expression of terroir with minimal intervention.

Wine Description

This red wine displays an intense purple colour, reflecting its high-altitude origins. The sensory profile is fragrant and concentrated, featuring a nose of red cherries and blackberries, complemented by floral notes of violet and elegant hints of spice, minerals, and jarilla. On the medium-to-full-bodied palate, it is described as juicy and silky with ripe, round tannins and a soft texture. The finish is remarkably long and fruity, showcasing the purity of the variety without the influence of wood.
