Chateau De Miniere Interpretation Cabernet Franc 2018

Chateau De Miniere Interpretation Cabernet Franc 2018

This red wine is from France, originating in the Loire Valley, within the Bourgueil AOC appellation. Château de Minière, an estate with a rich history, has been led since 2010 by Kathleen Van den Berghe and her husband. They have a philosophy focused on respect for the land and the terroir, committing the 29-hectare vineyard to organic farming (certified since 2013).

Wine Description

The 'Interprétation' cuvée is a pure expression of the Cabernet Franc grape, making up 100 per cent of the varietal composition. Sourced from older vines (some over 100 years old) on the estate's limestone and clay soils, this wine is typically only made in the greatest vintages. This red wine exhibits an intense red colour. The nose is noted for being very expressive, with aromas of red fruits, spices, and pepper. On the palate, the wine is fresh yet structured, with a good texture and the classic earthy-herbal notes of Cabernet Franc. It is known for its intense, expressive, and delicate character, combining power with elegance. The finish is long and very aromatic, with hints of spices and pepper along with deeper blackberry and bramble flavours. Stylistically, it is complex, precise, and expressive, meant for laying down.
