Zinck Cremant d'Alsace Brut

Zinck Cremant d'Alsace Brut

Zinck Crémant d'Alsace Brut originates from France, within the Alsace region and the Eguisheim subregion. The estate was established in 1964 by Paul Zinck and is currently managed by his son, Philippe Zinck, representing the fourth generation of this family business. The winery's philosophy is to produce authentic wines that fully reflect their origins, with Philippe expanding the estate to approximately 14 hectares. Since 2021, the vineyards have been fully certified biodynamic, reinforcing a commitment to sustainable and traditional winemaking ethics.

Wine Description

This sparkling wine typically presents a golden tinge and a medium body with a soft, present mousse. The sensory profile features fresh aromas of green apple, peach skin, pear, and citrus rind, accented by hints of nuts, spice, and brioche. On the palate, the attack is fruity and creamy, delivering flavours of ripe yellow and red apple, melon rind, and peach pit. The structure is crisp and fresh with plenty of depth and a light bite of spicy notes, leading to a long finish characterized by bright lemon pith and creamy minerals.

  • Varietal Composition: A traditional blend of 60% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay, and 10% Pinot Blanc.

  • Stylistic Notes: Crafted using the traditional method, the wine includes 20% reserve wine and spends 18 months on the lees to develop its restrained richness and complexity.

  • ABV: 12.5%.

  • Organic Status: The estate is a leader in organic and biodynamic production, with full biodynamic certification as of 2021.
