Vieux Château Certan is located on the prestigious clay and gravel plateau of Pomerol, France. Established in the mid-1700s, it is one of the oldest and most revered estates in the appellation. Since 1924, the property has been under the stewardship of the Thienpont family, whose winemaking philosophy emphasizes authenticity, sustainable vineyard management, and a pursuit of pure, elegant expressions of their unique terroir.

Wine Description

The 2021 vintage presents a deep garnet-purple colour and opens with a highly aromatic and perfumed nose featuring dried violets, rose petals, and graphite, intertwined with black cherry, plum, and exotic spices. On the palate, this medium to full bodied wine is characterized by its vibrancy and precision, displaying a core of juicy red and black fruit wrapped in ultra-refined, silky tannins.
