This Prairie-inspired craft cider originates from Canada, specifically Calgary, Alberta. SunnyCider is Calgary's first brick-and-mortar craft cider house, established in 2019 by neighbours Tim Kitchen, Darlene Kitchen, and Dennis Scanland. The business grew from a 2013 community project in the Sunnyside neighbourhood aimed at finding creative uses for local backyard fruit, eventually evolving into a professional operation with a philosophy deeply rooted in community, sustainability, and low-intervention production.

The 'Saskatoon Apple' is a blend of the cidery's dry apple base and locally sourced Saskatoon berry juice. It displays a beautiful depth with a rich, berry-infused colour. On the nose, it remains apple-forward while offering the lush aroma of ripe Saskatoon berries. The palate is well-balanced and flavourful, featuring crisp apple notes layered with lightly sweet, jammy berries and a hint of earthy fruit leather. Stylistically, it is described as the least dry of the SunnyCider lineup, yet it remains quite dry in character with very little residual sugar.
