Eau Claire Rupert's Exceptional Whisky

Eau Claire Rupert's Canadian Whisky is a premium spirit produced in Turner Valley, Alberta, Canada. Established in 2014, Eau Claire Distillery was Alberta's first craft distillery and is currently owned by founder David Farran. The whisky is named after 'Rupert's Land', a historical territory that once covered one third of Canada and included the distillery's home in southern Alberta. The label features 'Rupert', a dapper moose that has served as the distillery's main social animal since its inception.

Spirit Description

Rupert's Whisky is a carefully crafted blend consisting of approximately 20% Eau Claire single malt whiskies mixed with 80% high-quality Alberta base whisky. It is non-chill filtered and contains no artificial caramel colouring.

• Colour: The liquid presents a pale straw to light-to-medium gold appearance.

• Aroma: The nose is sweet and spicy, featuring notes of vanilla, toffee, butterscotch, and fine oak spices, with hints of candied apricot, orange peel, and almond.

• Palate: It delivers a smooth and full-bodied mouthfeel with initial notes of honey, dried fruit, and toasted grain. These are layered with chocolate, nutmeg, and candied citrus peel.

• Body: The spirit is well-balanced and approachable, characterized by a refreshing complexity.

• Finish: It concludes with a warm, clean finish marked by lingering touches of oak, caramel, malt, and a slightly nutty aftertaste.

• ABV: Rupert's Exceptional Canadian Whisky is bottled at 40%.
