Portia Verdejo Rueda 2024
The winery is known for its architecturally impressive, avant-garde design, which displays modern design, winemaking function, and artistic detail. Bodegas Portia is owned by Familia Martínez Zabala. The winemaking philosophy is centred on creating a modern expression of Ribera del Duero by prioritizing the preservation of freshness and fruit aromas, and minimizing the influence of oak.
Wine Description
The nose is highly aromatic and complex, dominated by notes of white peach, citrus fruit, fennel, a hint of tropical fruit, and pleasant herbaceous notes. On the palate, the wine is fresh, juicy, and lively with mineral finesse and well-integrated acidity. It is fine and elegant, with a very balanced passage and characteristic, slightly bitter nuances. The wine features a well-defined texture and medium body. It has a clear, crisp, and refreshingly long finish with herbaceous notes.
Food Pairing
The Portia Verdejo Rueda is an ideal accompaniment to grilled fish, marinated seafood, light tapas, or goat's cheese. It pairs well with appetizers, fish-based dishes, fideuà, rice, pasta dishes, smoked foods, soft and creamy cheeses, and white meats.
