Mission Hill Chardonnay Reserve 2022

Mission Hill Family Estate was founded in 1981 by Anthony von Mandl, who was a wine seller in Vancouver and saw the potential for the region. The winery is dedicated to combining modern innovation with traditional practices, focusing on sustainable farming to allow their varietals to thrive in the valley’s diverse soil profiles.

Wine Description

On the palate, it is described as mouth-filling and buttery, with flavours of fresh yellow apple, pear, melon, tropical fruit, creamy citrus, and baking spice. The aroma is complemented by notes of orchard apple, citrus, and pear. The wine offers a tremendous balance of texture, acidity, and freshness, with a hint of spice in the finish.

Food Pairing

Roast chicken, creamy pastas and risottos, or richer shellfish dishes like lobster, crab, or scallops with brown-butter sauce. The wine's richness and vibrant acidity also make it a great match for sesame-crusted salmon or sweetbreads in puff pastry.
