Miolo Lote 43 Red Blend 2022
The history of the Miolo Winery began in 1897 when the Italian patriarch Giuseppe Miolo arrived in Brazil and purchased his first plot of land, known as 'Lote 43', in what is now Vale dos Vinhedos. Produced only with the best vintages, the 'Lote 43' wine pays homage to the family patriarch and expresses the most distinctive characteristics of the region. The philosophy of the Miolo Wine Group is to explore the Brazilian terroir and show the world the country's potential for producing quality wines.
Wine Description
The 2022 vintage is a blend of 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine presents a ruby colour that is very intense and deep.
Aroma: The bouquet is highly aromatic, offering notes of sour cherries, mulberries, and roasted herbs, along with intense notes of plum, tobacco, truffles, cocoa, and cloves.
Palate and Body: It is full bodied, soft, and juicy. The palate is mellow and ripe, with a light sweet-sour touch.
Finish: The rounded tannins and correct level of acidity provide a unique freshness and balance, leading to a persistent and extensive finish.
Accolades
'James Suckling - 93 points'
Food Pairing
It is an excellent match for hearty foods like the 'gaucho' barbecue, especially picanha medallions, or meats with a certain level of sweetness, high tenderness, and succulence.
