Massolino Moscato D'Asti 2024 - 375 ml

Massolino Moscato D'Asti 2024 - 375 ml

Introduction

Massolino is a historic family-operated estate located in the heart of Serralunga d'Alba within Italy's Piedmont region. Founded in 1896 by Giovanni Massolino, the winery is now managed by the fourth generation of the family, including oenologists Franco and Roberto Massolino. Their winemaking philosophy is deeply rooted in tradition and respect for the territory, aiming to preserve the authentic personality of indigenous grape varieties while implementing modern techniques to ensure precision and elegance.

Wine Description

This Moscato d'Asti presents a bright straw yellow colour with a fine and persistent perlage. The bouquet is intense and fresh, dominated by seductive notes of white peach, apricot, orange blossom, and honey, with a clear aromatic predominance of sage and mint conveyed by the calcareous 'terroir'. On the palate, the wine is expansive and enveloping without being overly sweet, offering a refreshing acidity and delicate effervescence. Crafted from 100% Moscato Bianco grapes, it features a long, clean, and persistent finish. While traditionally enjoyed fresh within one to three years, some examples show the complexity to be aged for up to eight to ten years.
