Lost Lore Anejo Tequila

Lost Lore Anejo Tequila

Lost Lore Añejo is a high-altitude, single-estate tequila produced at the renowned Feliciano Vivanco y Asociados (NOM 1414) in Arandas, Jalisco. Created by Master Distiller Sergio Cruz, the brand was born from founder Arturo Lamas III’s desire to rediscover his family’s lost heritage in spirits. It is widely recognized by enthusiasts for its commitment to traditional craftsmanship, including the famous "Mozart Method"—where classical music is played during the fermentation process to influence the activity of the yeast.

Spirit Description

The Añejo is aged for up to 36 months in used American White Oak whiskey barrels, giving it a profile that appeals strongly to both tequila purists and whiskey drinkers.

  • Nose: Rich and luxuriously inviting, dominated by aromas of caramel, warm vanilla, and toasted oak. Beneath the barrel influence, there are sweet hints of baking spices (cinnamon and nutmeg) and a subtle note of dried cherry.

  • Palate: Full-bodied and silky. It opens with the comforting sweetness of cooked agave and butterscotch, which transitions into deeper oak-derived flavors of vanilla bean and cinnamon. A pleasant black pepper spice provides structure.

  • Finish: Long and exceptionally smooth, featuring lingering notes of oak, spice, and a final, clean touch of agave-mint and banana. It is bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof) and is officially certified additive-free by Tequila Matchmaker (2023–2026).
