Beer Description

Grumpy Bear pours a hazy, pale straw-yellow typical of unfiltered wheat beers with a frothy white head and a soft, inviting glow.

Aroma: The nose is delicate and "sunny." It leads with the scent of freshly baked bread and sweet clover honey, followed by a light, floral perfume. There is a faint, spicy note from the yeast and hops, but the dominant impression is one of natural, unrefined sweetness.

Palate: On the tongue, it is medium-bodied with a creamy, "pillowy" mouthfeel provided by the high wheat content. It leads with a gentle, honey-drenched grain flavor, followed by a soft malt backbone. The bitterness is almost non-existent, serving only to keep the honey from feeling syrupy. The finish is smooth and clean, with a lingering hint of wildflower sweetness.

Profile: It sits at an ABV of 5.0% and a very low bitterness of 14 IBU, ensuring maximum "crushability."

Technical Notes: This beer is brewed using a significant proportion of malted wheat, which gives it its signature hazy appearance and silky texture. The "secret ingredient" is 100% pure Alberta honey, added during the brewing process.
