Gordon & MacPhail Ardmore Single Malt 1994 'Connoisseurs Choice'

Distilled in 1994, this 26-year-old Ardmore matured in a Refill American Oak Hogshead before bottling at 53.1%.

 

NOSE: Vanilla and honeydew melon notes give way to subtle cured meats. Soft ripe pear leads to toasted oak and a hint of lemon.

 

TASTE: Sweet and creamy with apricot, apple and spicy pepper. Pineapple and citrus fruit notes come to the fore alongside soft floral notes.

 

FINISH: A medium-bodied finish with tropical fruit and smouldering smoke.
