Erdinger Weissbier 500 ml - 24 Cans
Introduction
Erdinger Weissbier is the signature brew of Erdinger Weißbräu, the world’s largest wheat beer specialist, located in Erding, Bavaria, Germany. Founded in 1886, the brewery remains independently owned and is a staunch practitioner of the Bavarian Purity Law, using only water, malted wheat and barley, hops, and yeast. Unlike most modern beers, Erdinger is a bottle-fermented "live" beer that undergoes a "Bayerische Edelreifung" (double maturity) method, maturing for three to four weeks in the bottle to develop its unique character.
Beer Description
This classic Hefeweizen (unfiltered wheat beer) is pale blond to amber-yellow in color with a natural, hazy cloudiness and a dense, creamy white head.
Aroma: Features a distinct yeasty nose with traditional wheat beer signatures of ripe banana and clove, along with doughy bread and floral hops.
Palate: It offers a full-bodied, slightly sweet malt flavor balanced by a refreshing effervescence and a mild, spicy hop finish.
Profile: It has an ABV of 5.3% and a low bitterness of approximately 13 IBU, making it incredibly smooth and sessionable.
Technical Notes: It is brewed with at least 50% wheat malt (typically closer to 60%) and a secret blend of yeasts.
