Cono Sur Pinot Noir 'Ocio' 2021

Cono Sur Pinot Noir 'Ocio' 2021

Cono Sur Pinot Noir 'Ocio' originates from Chile, specifically within the San Antonio Valley, with grapes sourced from select vineyards in Leyda and Santo Domingo. Founded in 1993, Cono Sur is a pioneer in sustainable winemaking and was the first winery in the world to be certified carbon neutral for delivery. The 'Ocio' project began in 1999 as a collaboration with Burgundian winemaker Martín Prieur to create Chile's first icon Pinot Noir, utilizing traditional French techniques like manual grape crushing by foot and aging in premium French oak.

Wine Description

This 100% Pinot Noir displays a deep, brilliant ruby garnet hue. The aromatic profile is complex and remarkably fresh, leading with scents of wild berries, cherries, and raspberries layered over notes of spices, tobacco, and forest floor. On the palate, the wine is full bodied for the varietal, characterized by intense fruit concentration, firm acidity, and sharp, fine grained tannins.
