This spirit originates from Mexico, specifically from the heart of Tequila, Jalisco. Casa Maestri, also known as Destiladora del Valle de Tequila (NOM 1438), was founded by Michael and Celia Maestri. The distillery, which is proudly run by a team that is 90% women, is dedicated to high quality and authentic craftsmanship, carrying the culture and heritage of Mexico in every bottle. The philosophy is rooted in tradition, using an ancient, painstaking production process with the finest ingredients and an uncompromising commitment to quality and excellence.

Spirit Description

This is a Blanco or Silver tequila, meaning it is an unaged expression of the spirit. It is distilled from 100% blue Weber agave that is carefully hand selected.

Colour: It is crystal clear, reflecting its unaged purity.

Aroma: The nose features the fresh, clean aroma of cooked sweet agave. Notes of citrus, vanilla, white flowers, and a slightly herbaceous quality may be present.

Palate: The taste is described as clean, smooth, and crisp. It delivers a smooth and balanced experience with flavours of sweet agave, herbs, subtle mineral nuances, and notes of tropical fruits.

Finish: It has a clean, long, and refreshing finish. A delicate hint of black pepper complements the finish, which can be peppery and smooth.

Stylistic notes: This tequila balances tradition and purity with a fresh, smooth, and crisp profile. The agave is cooked in unique old fashioned stone brick ovens and the tequila is typically double distilled using a pot still method.
