Carmen Maria's Legacy Cabernet Sauvignon is an elegant red wine from the Maipo Alto subregion of the Maipo Valley in Chile. Founded in 1850 by Christian Lanz and named in honour of his wife. Viña Carmen is the oldest winery in Chile and is renowned for its historical significance, including the 1994 rediscovery of Carmenere within its vineyards. Currently owned by the Claro Group as part of Santa Rita Estates, the winery is led by winemaker Ana Maria Cumsille, who continues the estate's legacy of innovation and high-altitude viticulture.

Wine Description

This single vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon presents a deep sensory profile with a 'shadowed' aromatic intensity. The nose features dark roasted coffee, black currant, and graphite, perfumed by delicate notes of jasmine, lavender, and dark chocolate raspberry. On the palate, the wine is medium bodied and 'silky', displaying vibrant flavours of Luxardo cherry, nectarine, and sweet cedar.
