Bollinger Tribute To Moonraker 2007 - 1.5 Litre Bottle
Produced in the heart of the Champagne region in France, this limited edition magnum celebrates the 40 year partnership between Champagne Bollinger and James Bond, which began with the 1979 film 'Moonraker'. Established in 1829, Bollinger is a family owned house renowned for its complex, Pinot Noir dominant style and commitment to traditional craftsmanship, including maintaining an on-site cooperage for barrel fermentation. The 'Tribute to Moonraker' is a highly exclusive release, with only 407 hand-finished pieces created, featuring a Saint Louis crystal ice bucket encased in a pewter and wood veneer shuttle designed by Eric Berthes.
Wine Description
This 2007 vintage Champagne presents a striking golden yellow hue with fine, persistent bubbles. The nose is complex and elegant, revealing an enticing bouquet of ripe apples, toasted hazelnuts, and brioche, alongside subtle hints of honey and citrus zest. On the palate, the wine is powerful and full-bodied, blending freshness with a smooth, chalky texture and flavours of golden apple, pear, almond, and a touch of spice. Composed of 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay primarily from Grand Cru vineyards, it offers a long, elegant finish with a lingering impression of minerality and vanilla. This magnum has an optimal drinking window between 2025 and 2035.
