Berton Metal Black Shiraz 2023

Berton Metal Black Shiraz 2023

Introduction

Berton Metal Black Shiraz is a bold red wine from South Eastern Australia. Established by Bob and Cherie Berton in May 1996, Berton Vineyard has grown from a humble 30-hectare plot to become a significant independent producer known for its high-quality varietal wines. The winemaking philosophy behind the Metal Range is to take stand-alone varietals and craft exceptional, unrestrained expressions that uphold the reputation of Australian Shiraz for huge, intense flavours.

Wine Description

This wine exhibits a deep, dark ruby colour and a decadent sensory profile. The aroma is concentrated with notes of blackberry, cherry, and plum, layered over toasty vanillin and spicy oak. On the palate, it is full-flavoured and intense, offering rich flavours of ripe berries, blueberry, and mocha with a velvety texture. The structure is defined by ripe, dense tannins that provide substantial length and a firm finish. The wine is suitable for vegetarians but is not certified organic.
