The distillery was founded in 1943 by Giuseppe 'Bepi' Tosolini, a native of Friuli who dedicated his life to transforming grappa into a refined and sophisticated distillate. Today, the company remains family owned and is managed by the founder's grandchildren, Giuseppe, Bruno, and Lisa, who continue the 'Tosolini method' of artisanal distillation in traditional steam pot stills.

Spirit Description

This grappa is distilled from the fresh pomace of various noble Friulian grape varieties, using a manual distillation process that selects only the purest part of the distillate, known as the 'heart'. It is then seasoned in the Tosolini cellars within European oak barriques that previously contained first quality original whisky.

  • Aroma: The nose is complex and enveloping, featuring notes of marmalade, orange, and toasted oak.

  • Palate: It offers a very rich and spicy character with enveloping notes of jam, citrus, and toasted oak.

  • Finish: It concludes with a smooth, clean, and persistent finish.
