Benriach Malting Season Third Edition

Benriach Malting Season Third Edition

From the heart of Speyside, Scotland, Benriach Distillery is one of the few distilleries still practising traditional floor malting. Founded in 1898, it has long been celebrated for its inventive spirit and commitment to heritage techniques, with this annual release honouring the artistry of hand-malted barley.

Whisky Description

This small-batch single malt presents a golden barley hue. On the nose, layers of freshly harvested barley intertwine with orchard fruit, wild bergamot, pear, and meadowsweet honey. The palate is smooth and creamy, revealing clementine zest, floral honey, apricot, malted almond, and a delicate trace of wild cherry. Medium- to full-bodied, it finishes long with gentle barley spice, oak tannins, and a touch of soft smoke.

Food Pairing

Pair with roasted duck, caramelised root vegetables, or mature cheddar. This pairing highlights the whisky’s depth and character, drawing out its balance of sweetness and spice.
