This limited release is a masterfully crafted blend of six straight bourbons sourced from four different states, ranging in age from 9 to 14 years. The specific composition of the blend includes:
25%: 14-year-old Kentucky Bourbon (75/13/12 mash bill).
23%: 12-year-old Tennessee Bourbon (84/8/8 mash bill).
22%: 10-year-old Kentucky Bourbon (78/13/9 mash bill).
15%: 9-year-old Indiana Bourbon (75/21/4 mash bill).
10%: 10-year-old Kentucky Bourbon (78/10/12 mash bill).
5%: 12-year-old Georgia Bourbon (80/10/5/5 mash bill).
The blend was finished for 17 months in Silver Oak Cabernet barrels, a remarkably long finishing period that imparts a deep vinous character. It presents a dark amber colour with a nose of baked strawberry, plum, and roasted nuts, highlighted by cinnamon and cocoa. On the palate, the whiskey is full-bodied and velvety, offering layers of caramel candies, chocolate-covered strawberries, and raspberry jam. The finish is long and elegant, balancing jammy fruit and caramel cream with sweet oak spice and a light tannic dryness. It is bottled at 108 proof (54% ABV).
