Arboleda Chardonnay 2020
Arboleda Chardonnay originates from the Aconcagua Costa region of Chile, specifically from the Chilhué vineyard. Viña Arboleda was founded in 1999 by Eduardo Chadwick, a fifth-generation vintner of the Errázuriz family, with a vision to create sustainable, single-vineyard wines. The winery's philosophy focuses on delivering the purest expression of the Aconcagua Valley's unique terroirs, reflected in its name which means 'a grove of trees'.
Wine Description
This Chardonnay presents a bright straw yellow colour with subtle greenish flecks. The complex nose offers an array of citrus fruits and orange blossom, complemented by notes of white peach, tropical pineapple, and a touch of toasted almond and dried fruit. On the palate, the wine is juicy and medium to full bodied, featuring a creamy texture balanced by vibrant, crisp acidity and a distinct saline minerality. The finish is long and persistent, showing notes of pear and a hint of vanilla.
Food Pairing
This wine's structure and creamy texture make it an excellent companion for rich, buttery dishes such as pan seared halibut, lobster with drawn butter, or roast chicken with a savory cream sauce. It also pairs beautifully with vegetarian options like wild mushroom pasta or a creamy butternut squash risotto.
